Im Rahmen der Games Convention 2008 von Sega exklusiv für Nintendo Wii angekündigt.
Sega gab bereits auf der Games Convention 2008 bekannt, den Titel nicht in Deutschland veröffentlichen zu wollen, wohl aufgrund der Indizierung sämtlicher Vorgänger. Er wurde folglich auch niemals der USK vorgelegt. Erwartungsgemäß wurde "Overkill" wenige Monate nach seinem Europa-Release indiziert - als erster Teil der Saga jedoch auf Liste B der jugendgefährdenden Medien. Ein Beschlagnahmebeschluss liegt zum gegebenen Zeitpunkt noch nicht vor.
