Worms Armageddon ist der dritte Teil der beliebten "Worms"-Reihe der Amiga-Veteranen von Team 17. Wie üblich bekämpfen sich mehrere Teams von cartoonigen Regenwürmern mit Pumpguns, Raktenwerfern und skurrilen Waffen wie explodierenden Schafen in komplett zerlegbaren Landschaften. Ein Singleplayermodus ist zwar enthalten, den meisten Spaß entfaltet das Programm im Multiplayermodus, der über Internet, im LAN oder per Hotseatmodus an einem PC stattfinden kann. Letztere Spielmöglichkeit ist der Star bei jedem Sit-In und führt gern zu nächtelangen Session, bei denen selbst innigste Freundschaften harten Zerreißproben ausgesetzt sind.
