Prototype Version
Das Highlight ist nicht die Half Life Beta, sondern die Blue Shift Beta Version, weil die Dreamcast die original Version ist und die PC Version ist ein Port. 6 Dreamcast Prototype Versionen sind bekannt, aber nur 4 sind öffentlich im Internet illegal zu finden. Version 3, Half Life Dreamcast Prototype Version May 23 2001 ist die erste bekannte und älteste Version aus dem Internet dem Warez Bereich als CDI Format mit 85% complete, diese Version funktioniert komplett aber nicht perfekt. Der Verfasser selbst hat in den letzten Jahren immer wieder diese CDI Dreamcast Version gespielt auf einer original Dreamcast Console mit gebrannter Disc, gleichzeitig auch die PS2 Version. Die Dreamcast Version ist ein 1 - 1 Port der PC Version und ist identisch mit den gleichen Lade Screens der Maps zur PS2 Version. Aber die Dreamcast Version hat hir und da 'kleine' alternative Effekte oder Deko Texturen, desweiteren fehlt ein wenig Deko und die Framerate ist nicht perfekt und hat viele Slowdowns. Speichern kann große Probleme verursachen, es wird die Password Level Liste empfohlen und ohne VM Meory Card zu spielen.

(In 2018 an American found a prototype copy of Half-Life Dreamcast at a yard sale.)

Funktioniert komplett, aber hat viele Framerate Probleme und einige Texturen sind leicht unfertig.
