Entstand 1987 aus der Gruppe "The Light Circle" in Köln. Der Name bezieht sich auf die Anzahl der ursprünglicher Mitglieder, in früheren Software-Demos hieß die Gruppe noch "Factor 3".
- Im Mai 1996 erfolgte der Umzug in die USA.
- Nachdem die US-Tochter Mitte Mai 2009 durch Insolvenz aufgelöst wurde, hat man die Geschäfte wieder in Deutschland aufgenommen.
Im Januar 2011 aufgelöst
Im Februar 2017 reaktiviert.
