"Alien Breed: Evolution" ist ein Remake des Klassikers "Alien Breed" und ähnlich dem Original ein typischer Iso-Shooter. Das Spiel basiert technisch auf der Unreal-Engine 3.
Im kooperativen Mehrspielermodus legen zwei Teilnehmer gemeinsam auf einem Bildschirm los. Über Internet kann zu viert gespielt werden. Allerdings ist der Coop-Mode losgelöst vom Solo-Spiel mit eigenen Levels. Die eigentliche Kampagne kann nicht zusammen durchgespielt werden.
