In der April 2010-Ausgabe der amerikanischen "GameInformer" enthüllt.
Der Spieler schlüpft in die Rolle von Grayson Hunt, Mitglieder der Eliteeinheit "Dead Echo". Die Handlung setzt im 26. Jahrhundert auf dem Planeten Stygia ein. Hunt hat sich unterdessen vom Elite-Soldaten zum abgehalfterten Weltraumpirat gewandelt, der sich und seine Crew mit diversen kriminellen Aktivitäten und Auftragsmorden über Wasser hält. Zentraler Ort des Spiels ist die verfallene Vergnügungsmetropole Elysium.
Zentrales Kernelement des Gameplays ist das sogenannte "Skillshot"-System, das besonders blutige und furiose Kills mit Punkten bewertet. Je nachdem, wie gut der Spieler seine Umgebung nutzt bzw. wie schnell und wie viele Gegner er auf einen Streich erledigt, erfolgt eine Punktgutschrift. Diese Skill-Punkte dienen gleichzeitig als Währung im Spiel und können gegen Munition/Ausrüstung, Waffen und Upgrades eingetauscht werden.
