Mit dem zweiten Teil von "All-Stars Racing", dem SEGA-Pendant zu "Mario Kart", verfeinern die Entwickler Gameplay und Spielmechanik.
Erneut heizen die Charaktere aus dem SEGA-Universum auf typischen Themen-Strecken um die Wette. Die durch Überfahren aufsammelbaren Gegenstände sorgen für entsprechende Vorteile gegenüber der Konkurrenz. Neben den kreativen Auto- und Kart-Verschnitten kommen auch Gleiter zum Einsatz.
Bis zu vier Spieler können lokal im Split-Screen loslegen. Optional kann über den Split-Screen auch zusammen online gespielt werden! Außerdem lässt sich die Kampagne gemeinsam im Coop-Modus durchspielen. Online gehen bis zu zehn Teilnehmer an den Start. System-Link/LAN Modi werden nicht unterstützt.
