Der Nachfolger des kommerziell erfolgreichen Actionrollenspiels aus Deutschland. Obwohl der Vorgänger ein übles Bug-Debakel inklusive Patch-Marathon hinter sich hat, kam der Titel bei den ausgebluteten Diablo II Spielern gut an.
Auf der Games Developers Conference 2007 wurde darüber hinaus eine Portierung für die Xbox 360 angekündigt. Ende Juni 2008 wurde dann auch eine PS3 Portierung enthüllt. Beide Konsolenversionen bieten auch einen Koop-Modus.
