Die europäische PAL-Ausgabe von "Genji" ist inhaltsgleich zur japanischen Originalversion und kommt europaweit ohne drastischere Gewaltdarstellung aus. Lediglich die amerikanische NTSC-Version wurde in Sachen Gewaltdarstellung teilweise erheblich erweitert.
