Der Gitarren-Controller wurde nach Vorlage der "Fender Musical Instruments Corporation" hergestellt und ist äußerlich der elektrische Gitarre "Fender Stratocaster" nachempfunden.
Offenbar hat EA auch mit anderen Firmen von Musik- und Sound-Equipment In-Game-Marketingverträge geschlossen, denn so kommen auch andere Gitarren, Bass und Verstärker von diversen Herstellern im Spiel vor.
Die deutsche Version enthält alle 58 Originalsongs der US NTSC Version. Zusätzlich sind in der europäischen Fassung neun Zusatz-Tracks enthalten:
