Wie schon bei "A Nightmare on Elm Street" unterscheidet sich das NES-Release grundlegend von den Heimcomputer-Releases und kann somit nicht mehr zu diesen hinzugezählt werden!
Interessant:
Eines der wenigen NES-Spiele (wenn nicht sogar das einzige), das dem Spieler nach dem verlieren folgenden Bildschirmtext anzeigt:
"YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEAD. GAME OVER"
Alleine die Erwähnung des Wortes "dead" war damals bei Nintendo-Produkten absolut verpöhnt und gemäß den "Nintendo Game Guidelines" auch verboten! "Friday the 13th" wurde anscheinend übersehen oder nicht ausgiebig genug von der Nintendo-Qualitätssicherung getestet.
