"Age of Wonders III" wurde am 06.02.2013 offiziell vom Entwickler Triumph Studios angekündigt.
Bietet zwei Mehrspielermodi
- Klassisch: Jeder Spieler ist der Reihe nach am Zug.
- Simultan: Alle Spieler machen gleichzeitig ihre Spielzüge in der Aufbau- und Bewegungsphase, danach werden eventuell entstandene Auseinandersetzen in der Kampfphase ausgespielt.
Unterstützt bis zu acht Teilnehmer per Hotseat (nur im klassischen Modus spielbar) und Internet. Spielen über LAN und PBEM (Play-by-Email) ist im Vergleich zu den Vorgängern nicht mehr möglich.
