Basiert lose auf "Dead Rising" für die Xbox 360.
Der Spieler ist erneut als Fotograf Frank West in der Willamette Parkview Mall unterwegs, die allerdings vollkommen umgestaltet bzw. verkleinert wurde, um hinter die Ursache einer Zombie-Epidemie zu kommen. Gesteuert wird ausschließlich über den Touchscreen.
Neu ist der s.g. Hunger-Meter, der sich, ähnlich dem Survival Mode in "Dead Rising", mit der Zeit leert. Frank muss also regelmäßig Nahrung zu sich nehmen, um nicht zu sterben.
Wird man getötet, kann man ein "Notfallsignal" an seine Freunde schicken, um von diesen für Bonus-PP wiederbelebt zu werden. Kommt keine Rettung, taucht der tote Frank später als spezieller (stärkerer) Zombie im Spiel der Freunde auf.
