"Yakuza: Kenzan!" ist ein Spin-Off von SEGAs "Yakuza"-Reihe und spielt im Gegensatz zum Original im Zeitalter des feudalen Japan.
Bisher gibt es keine Pläne, "Kenzan!" auch in Europa oder den USA zu veröffentlichen. Aufgrund seiner Thematik gilt ein westlicher Release als höchst unwahrscheinlich.
In Japan ist ein limitiertes "Ryuu ga Gotoku: Kenzan!"-Bundle mit Satin Silver-PS3 erschienen.
