Wurde am 24. August 2014 während eines speziellen "Ryū ga Gotoku"-Live-Stream-Events offiziell angekündigt. Worum es sich bei "Ryū ga Gotoku Zero" im Detail handelt, wurde später auf der TGS 2014 enthüllt: Es handelt sich um ein Prequel,das im Japan der Achtziger spielt und einen jungen Kazuma Kiryu und Goro Majima als Protagonisten bietet.
