Grand Theft Auto 64
Obwohl die PlayStation-Portierung nie das Niveau des PC-Originals erreichte, war das Spiel auch auf der Sony-Maschine kommerziell sehr erfolgreich.
Im Anschluss daran wurde unter dem Titel "Grand Theft Auto 64" eine Nintendo 64-Portierung entworfen. Sie sollte neue Grafikeffekte und überarbeitete Missionen enthalten. Die Entwicklung wurde jedoch nicht abgeschlossen und das Spiel dementsprechend nie veröffentlicht. |

Nach dem kommerziellen Flop des Saturn zeichnete sich eine Einstellung des Systems ab, die mit dem Ende der Saturn-Ära 1998 besiegelt wurde.
Aufgrund der fehlenden Unterstützung wurde auch die Entwicklung der GTA-Portierung abgebrochen. |

Es handelt sich dabei um eine von Rockstar North modifizierte Version. Sie läuft direkt unter neueren Betriebssystemen, enthält bereits den Patch und benötigt zum Spielstart keine CD mehr. |
