"Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" ist ein Spin-Off für Sony PSP.
Der Spieler schlüpft in die Rolle das Mafiosi Tony Cipriani, der sich drei Jahre vor den Ereignissen von "GTA III" als kleiner Handlanger seinen Vorteil zu erkämpfen versucht. Dabei gilt es erneut, sich durch den Sumpf des Verbrechens nach oben zu arbeiten, ohne künstliche Aufmerksamkeit in Form von feindlichen Banden oder dem Arm des Gesetzes auf sich zu ziehen. Die aus "GTA III" bekannte Infrastruktur der Stadt Liberty City ist nahezu unangetastet geblieben.
Allerdings sind sämtliche Missionen und Aufträge komplett neu. Auch die Fahrzeuge und Waffen sind nochmals überarbeitet und ergänzt worden. So sind nun unter anderem auch die in Vice City eingeführten Motorräder mit dabei.
Erstmals wieder seid GTA 2 (PC - CD-ROM; 1999) gibt es einen offiziellen Mehrspielermodus (nur lokal, nicht online). Bis zu sechs Teilnehmen können sich dabei frei durch die Stadt bewegen und sich die Kugeln um die Ohren jagen. Di... [->mehr]
