Vice City Stories tauchte das erste Mal bei der Vorlage des Geschäftsberichts von Take 2 im Januar 2006 in den Release-/Verkaufslisten auf.
Auch der zweite PSP-Titel ist keine Neuentwicklung sondern, ähnlich dem Vorgänger "Liberty City Stories", eine Sidestory in bekannter Infrastruktur. Dementsprechend spielt der Titel in Vice City.
Allerdings befindet sich die Stadt im Jahr der Handlung (1984) teilweise noch im Aufbau: Einige Gebiete aus dem Original sind daher noch nicht erschlossen und somit nicht erkundbar. Oder dort befinden sich Baustellen, auf denen die aus Vice City bekannten Ortsteile erst noch errichtet werden. Es gibt allerdings deutlich mehr neues Terrain zu erkunden, als noch in "Liberty City Stories".
Der Spieler schlüpft in die Rolle von Victor Vance, dem Bruder des aus "GTA: Vice City" bekannten Lance Vance. Die beiden Brüder kommen als Nobodys in die noch junge Stadt "Vice City", in der sich ein Sumpf von Verbrechen, Drogenhandel und Korruption auszubreiten d... [->mehr]
