"Tales of Destiny" ist ein Remake des gleichnamigen 1997er Originals für die PlayStation.
Das Spiel basiert zwar technisch auf der gleichen 3D-Engine, die auch in "Tales of Rebirth" zum Einsatz kam. Dennoch blieb man dem Stil des Originals treu: Nur die Hintergründe sind wirklich 3D, der Rest des Spiels ist nach wie vor handgemacht mit komplett neu gezeichneten Sprites.
Zudem erfolgte eine Angleichung des ursprünglich in moderatem Tempo ablaufende Kampfsystems an die neueren, rasanteren Teile der Serie.
Der Titel ist ausschließlich für die PlayStation 2 und nur in Japan veröffentlicht worden. Für den seit 2008 erhältlichen "Director's Cut" des Spiel gilt selbiges!
Das Remake bietet (im Gegensatz zum Original) einen lokalen kooperativen Mehrspielermodus für bis zu vier Teilnehmer (optional mit Multitap). Während Spieler 1 den Hauptcharakter über den gesamten Spielverlaufs steuert, also auf der Weltkarte, in Städten/Geschäften und Dungeons usw., können die restlichen Gruppenmi... [->mehr]
