"Tales of the Tempest" bietet einen Wi-Fi Mehrspielermodus für bis zu vier Teilnehmer (Multi-Card), der sich jedoch vom bisherigen kooperativen Konzept der Reihe unterscheidet: Hier arbeiten die Spieler nicht zusammen, um die Abenteuergruppe gemeinsam zum Erfolg zu führen.
Statt dessen führt jeder Spieler seine eigene Gruppe ins Spiel ein, sodass mehrere Heldengruppen durch dieselbe Spielwelt reisen. Falls die Gruppen aufeinander treffen, können sie sich auch gegenseitig bekämpfen.

Dabei werden erbeutete Ausrüstungsgegenstände mit in den Einzelspielermodus konvertiert. Die gesammelten Erfahrungspunkte sind hingegen verloren und werden am Ende des Mehrspieler-Session wieder gelöscht.

ACHTUNG:
Der Mehrspielermodus muss zunächst durch den Fund des Gegenstands "Eleusis's Key", der in einem der Dungeons im Spiel versteckt liegt, freigeschaltet werden!
